Braxton Family Values Season 6 Episode 16 – ‘Truth & Consequences’

On the season finale, the Braxton’s continue their explosive family therapy with Iyanla in an effort to heal their broken family, and things get tense when shocking and surprising confessions to Iyanla stir up fresh emotions.

  • Lolo Sanders

    Tamar So Damn Funny Bro

  • Iyanla is looking at Tamar with a look of disbelief. She is not buying any of that acting routine Tamar is putting on. Girl, stop please!

  • thatchickyouHATE82

Sooooo… only 2 ppl going take about how Toni don’t like her family at all and if they weren’t family, they wouldn’t be friends??🤔🤔😂 I think that was the biggest, realest and best confession!! … Trina tried to clean it up 🤣🤣 naw boo she said if y’all werent related, y’all wouldnt be friends 😂😂 let….it….go!!!! Lol

  • thatchickyouHATE82

I thought the same thing too!!!

  • La.Bruja.Caribeña

Toni’s confession about loving her family but not liking them…BEST CONFESSION EVER. lol! I loved her honesty in that moment. Mommy and daddy were not exempt. I wish they’d have let her speak more about it.

  • La.Bruja.Caribeña

I can relate also, being the youngest of my mother’s children with large age gaps in between. Except I just don’t really talk to them anymore. We’re estranged. You can’t choose your family but you can choose the distance. LOL!

  • Bittersweet_Vengeance_504

Tamar is such an asshole! She doesn’t acknowledge her fuckups and no wonder a lot of bad shit happens to her and that’s why bad shit is going to keep happening to her, she doesn’t deserve happiness at all if she doesn’t change her attitude.Tamar is my least favorite sister.

  • Lynn

    They cut that part out

  • Excepcion

fi real. crodile tears and the like. sheesh.

  • J_Svengali

I truly don’t blame Toni for her confession. She has 4 sisters that cling on to her for everything. She kept her word in helping them out but they flopped. Toni was always the star and it was something they thought to be unfair because they can sing as well. Some people have it and some people dont! (See any Tamar performance live, Trina’s attempt to music and Traci live) Toni dealt with that guilt and the more success she had, she probably felt like she was obligated. The Braxtons had their own record deal. Tamar has served as a writer and background vocalist for Toni for years – even got her own solo deal after The Braxtons project. the others just did background. Toni needs to let it go! She done gave all them hoes a job and they’ve been on Toni payroll for years. Maybe that’s why she went bankrupt. She even got them this show which grew Tamar a fanbase and gave her her 4000393930390 record deal/Shot in the industry. Toni, Clip that cord. You aint they mama. And Miss E – You a hot mess. It is your fault the girls are the way they are. She is so hurt by Michael. I agree with what another commentor said – It’s been years, auntie and you still not over it, She need her own therapy. The whole point is these women are 40+ and still mad at each other, playing the blame game. I hope they come to a resolution and Toni, Run bitch. U 50 already. I would’ve checked out at 30.

  • DaNiro Elle Brown

I truly want to make sure I stopped to say it’s crazy to me that they grazed over Toni’s confession and revelation like they did because that to me besides the Tamar = Evelyn’s inner self was the biggest “Aha” moment of the show. I felt for Toni in that moment she’s heard but she’s never truly heard because she is just seen as the key to future and their success it’s crazy that they don’t hear her. To sit there and say I’m mad at all of y’all because y’all are the reason my career didn’t soar higher is literally letting them know I’m tired of y’all acting a fool on my name. That was heavy and they needed to sit in that everyone talks about Toni’s bankruptcies and bad career choices but forget that alot of that had to do with her trying to look out for her family and I do believe she is right. Also that Tamar is a physical manifestation of Evelyn’s pain is so deep I literally look at the both like wow… It all makes so much sense if you think about the whole trajectory of this show.

  • itz_justme

For the life of me I can figure out what names Iyanla was calling Tamar in the beginning.

  • itz_justme

It’s odd to me how often they talk about having the complete family there but the brother is rarely included.

  • LaReyna09

Of course the mother will be more tamed than Tamar! 😂 Ms. E will naturally conduct herself in a better manner than Tamar being that she’s the matriarch of the family and she’s held to a higher standard and degree of respect. That’s why Iyanla made that statement. Even Towanda and Trina concurred and said the same thing. That Tamar though… whew! You are SPOT ON 💯 and she most certainly can be beyond annoying and dramatic. I truly hope they get their family back on track though.

  • PowerFanatic

Exactly! Tamar was looking at her like “Bish who you talking to? 😅”

  • Erica PlayMiNot Milian

Toni 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I mean at least she kept it 💯

  • Ugo Tai

Tamar got me over here weeping …I felt like her confessions were genuine…lets hope it lasts

  • leapyearpisces

Miss E, better let go, and.let GOD open them there legs while she can!!!! I know I am strange, but I HONESTLY think after the age of 40 , GOD DOESN’T hold the whole “fornicating”, and “shacking up” thing against you anymore – why else would there be menopause? GOD knows all, and he know bishes gonna be getting it on in the “later years”. MENOPAUSE is GOD”s hall pass for women. Miss E needs to STOP being bitter and go fugg and suck, and put Akineyle in her playlist (look it up for the yougins, LOL).

  • leapyearpisces

imma bet it with chick! You got the thoughts of a winner!!! LOL!!!!

  • Camden

    Thank you!
    I will take Heed!
    :))

  • Camden

    Yep!
Cause soon after she said, “And none of you were raised this way”
    Hmph!

  • Camden

    lmaoo!!! Yep!
    It was to save face!
You can tell how everyone was looking around that Mama Evelyn aint really about that ass whooping life! lol!

  • Camden

    lol!!!
    Wheew chile it was UGLY!!!

  • Camden

    Yea something aint right.
Maybe she is a little “Off”

  • Camden

    lmaoo!!!
    It was cringey as hell!!
Then when she did that “Traceeeeey and did the ugly cry face” Mercy!!! I dam near threw the t.v out the window!
    lol!!!

  • Camden

Omg Kay I dam near screeeeamed at the TV! With her ugly ass!! Stop with all the theatrics please!
Popping her overly glossy lips, neck and eye rolling she acts like a 12 year old sis!
21 yr olds are more mature than this broad!

  • Gerome Wright

Camden the stories are universal stories of good vs. evil, comedy, tragedy, rebirth, etc. They all can be applied to our lives. Please don’t stop reading the Bible. It is literally

    B asic
    I nstructions
    B efore
    L eaving
    E arth

The 66 books are our guide for how the Lord wants us to live and is his LIVING word. Whenever you feel down, I challenge you to read it and not find comfort. It has all the answers you need for Marriage, Divorce, Love, etc. Start with Proverbs if you have trouble. There are a million answers in that book alone. Happy Reading! LOL

  • Camden

Idk tho..Even the Mother seems tame compared to Tamar. I don’t even get that kind of vibe from Mrs. Evelyn..
    Tamar is BEYOND annoying.

  • Camden

    She is!
I know I’d pay cash money to go see Toni sang in Concert now!
Her voice is like non other!
We can sway to, “Breath Again”, “7 Whole Days”, “Love Shoulda Brought You home”, “Another Sad Love Song” “Wasn’t Man Enough” “Just be a man about it” “Breathe” Even her Christmas CD was bomb! lol!! Toni is STILL the shat!

  • Camden

    I agree in totality!
Toni would have definitely soared. Having to take on the burden of making sure EVERYONE in her family is okay wrecks havoc on you mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. I honestly believe that her family are the ones who made her sick! Lupus is Auto immune so they could very well be the culprits of her health issues..

  • Camden

Girl all that huffing and puffing, crying! I could’ve came thru the television and wrung her dam neck!!!

  • Camden

    Whaaaat???
    Oh my!
Well i do know that back in the day you could spot her walking down Collins Ave during Memorial Day weekend in Miami…

  • Deanna Debra Morris

Exactly! I kept waiting for that part of the “I confess”

  • Mademoiselle Goldie✨

    Yesss girl! ❤️👑👑👑

  • LaReyna09

Ayyyyye! Hi 5 right back at you my fellow African Queen!! 😊🖐🏾🖐🏾❤

  • LaReyna09

😯😯🤦🏾‍♀️🤣😂😂😂 I CANNOT with you sis!! Lmao…your comment is EVERYTHING! 😂😂

  • LaReyna09

    💯💯💯

  • MyChristina Monroe

Like damn Toni, hurt my feelings just listening to her go in on her family like emenem lol

  • singer4101

    lmao

  • MyChristina Monroe

    Exactly

  • MyChristina Monroe

    Lmaooo

  • MyChristina Monroe

Toni was like…..FU All i don’t like any of you…if we weren’t related we could never be friends…..I’m out!! ✌🏽😎✌🏽

  • Yep. I’on care if you’re mad at your ex, cousin or shitty-ass boss — continuous anger/bitterness never works b/c you’re the one who is going to suffer the most.

Best to take the time/effort to deal with the emotions, sling snot all over the place, talk it out with your fam and BFFs, break some sh*t, eat a gallon of ice cream, stay in the gym or seek therapy — whatever it legally/responsibly takes to get to the other side b/c life is short. …It’s not easy and can be painful — but most likely the person that hurt you has gone on with their life without a 2nd thought, so it’s stupid to grant them the power to dictate your future, or decide whether you’ll be happy or sad.

Ms. E would have been fine had she married a salt-n-pepper Denzel, then looked across the family picnic table 20 yrs. later and winked at Braxton and his 400 lb. wife.

  • Regina Wilcher

i felt the sincerity in tamar confession.I pray that healing can begin

  • 302DelawareAllDay

I honestly think Tamar acts in that manner because of learned behavior from all the flamboyant gays shes been around.. I could be wrong.. lol

  • I did think Tamar did a bit too much with the I Confess. It did make me question the authenticity because it was sooo much. It made me cry because seeing people cry makes me cry automatically. Only time will tell how authentic it was. If she’s back to her old ways, we’ll know! Lol!

  • Camden

Oh lawdy Tamar and all this hyperventilative crying! lmao!!

    Girl!

  • BrainsNBeauty

YES!!!! PREACH!!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾 Agreed, agreed, agreed!!!! But she could never do any of that because she never got closure, she never ALLOWED herself to seek closure. It was easier to just stay angry than to face it head on. She’s so stubborn & I hate she’s wasting her last great years this way. 😔

  • Pebbles

    Yup!

  • NISHA

😂😂😂As I was watching l was saying the same thing as everything progressed, but is it me or you found that I confess shit with Tamar fake as fuck🤨🤔😏…probably why Vince did what he did, no telling how she was with that man behind closed doors..

Some people just can’t cope with life before the spotlight stepped in…maybe ilyana needs to start counseling up and coming entertainers to help them with the stresses of the industry….maybe it would stop some of the suicides and overdose deaths from the stresses of the industry…just a thought😎😎

  • Camden

Omgosh I would have had to pull rank as the older sister and knock the living shit out of Tamar!! Constantly bobbing that bald ass head around!!
    Uugh!
Cannot take her annoying, rude, spoiled ass!

  • Camden

See now Gerome, that in itself is what kinda of turned me off from the Bible. All i was getting were all these stories! I was looking for a word to apply to my life! Give me some meaning and purpose! I would get confused on how any of the stuff written applied to me and my life’s purpose with all the “Stories”…

  • Patience Shaibu

I don’t care what nobody say, Tamar is disrespectful, disgusting and irritating to listen and look at. her attitude quite shitty.

  • Queet C

Why TA pulls Tracey eyelash like that lol smh

  • It may be cliché but living well is not only the best revenge — its a true path to healing.

IMO the best thing a divorcée can do is teach their kids (by example) how to keep it classy, forgive, keep their joy and go on to a better and happier life after a hard struggle.

Had Ms. E worked through the betrayal/pain and found herself a wonderful 2nd husband (instead of holding on to bitterness and teaching her girls ridiculous lessons i.e. ‘all men cheat except Obama’) — she could have had years of happily walking into her children or grandchildren’s weddings, baby showers or christenings dressed to the 9’s with her husband — not giving a blip about Braxton and his wife.

  • I love it too! … A lot of us were raised in church, faith and/or educated in parochial schools before college, but the OT often made me sad and confused when I was little.

The history of hypocrisy, criminality, cruelty and dishonesty of reverends, priests, imams, rabbis and faith institutions has turned a lot of young ppl off to religion. It’s made us skeptical to those who claim to be “called by God” or whatever (don’t yack about it – live, show ‘n show it) — yet the teachings (Torah, Tanakh, NT, Qur’an etc.) will always be a part of our being.

It’s up to each of us to read/meditate for ourselves, determine our own path, and commit to do the best we can and better than the day before.

  • Mademoiselle Goldie✨

This is sweet I love that ❤️

  • BrainsNBeauty

Wholeheartedly agree sis, beautifully put. ♥️ It’s weird because I found my name in the Bible (Lydia) a while ago & the characteristics of the woman were so similar to mine it caught me completely off guard & made me want to work harder to live up to her standard. 🙏🏾

  • BrainsNBeauty

Lmao! Right! And it’s such a waste because she’s a very beautiful lady. Low key she looks better than her daughters. 😩 But she wears that misery & bitterness like a badge of honor & no man wants to entertain that at their age. You can tell she loved that man to her CORE!! I don’t want that kind of love. I’m good luv, enjoy.✌🏾✌🏾😩😩

  • BrainsNBeauty

I swear I was waiting for the entire clip. They HAD to have edited her part down! Lol Because she was wayyyyy to adamant about that statement for no one to have at least inquired. I would’ve at LEAST raised my hand lol, “🙋🏽‍♀️ Toni, me too?? Cause I ain’t did shit to you”. 😩🤣

  • BrainsNBeauty

    😂🤣

  • BrainsNBeauty

    Lmao @ beloved!!
(Sidebar: Yo, can I just say I LOVE when you comment?! When I see those Mickey Mouse ears I KNOW the review is about to be lit!!!! 😩🤣)
Well, Tamar said that she was molested on both sides of the family but it was a family secret & only 2 people knew (one of them being Tamar’s new man). Someone told Iyanla & Iyanla asked her about it in the group setting & Tamar said that it was her secret to tell. She also said she felt like Iyanla “sex shamed” her because she brought it up & took away her power to choose again. So Tamar has been tweeting and stating in interviews & on instagram that Iyanla is a fraud and she doesn’t “fix” anything. Well, you know how Oprah is about her coin honey. So the OWN network & Iyanla is gearing up to sue Tamar for defamation of character & attacking the brand unless Tamar apologizes publicly & retracts her statement because these episodes weren’t under the umbrella of the “fix my life” brand. Iyanla was just on The Braxton’s visiting with the sisters to try & help them figure things out. Hope this helped!!

  • LotuSupreme

    Lol you right.

  • TaRon T. Dot Thomas

Girl me too. Tamar is so extra. However… I think she finally gets it.

  • LotuSupreme

And you know today I just heard that Tamar slept with one of her sisters husbands and Jermaine Dupree’s daddy and his momma whooped her ass in the elevator….. allegedly

  • LotuSupreme

I don’t think Iyanla was abusive with towards Tamar…I feel as if she saw through her bullshit and wasn’t going to put up with it like her family did…hence the reason why Tamar confused that she has been spoiled and her father admitted that Tamar doesn’t have any consequences to her actions.

  • Marry Jane Goodrum

Tamar has BPD Im EXACTLY like her its scary .

  • Marry Jane Goodrum

Yep i say me & tamar so alike its crazy i suffer from bdp 😬😬

  • LOL! Exactly. I think she had more to say too had she been given the time. 😂

  • Ms. E’s attitude is a complete 180 from last session. This is the Ms. E I expected the first time. Funny because I said, Ms. E. was acting just like Tamar last episode and Tawanda said they’re the same people. Go figure. I also found it interesting, how Ms. E mentioned she felt like Braxton is dead to her. She keeps saying she’s over him, but…really, she’s not. Her emotions are still raw, even after all these years. She should see someone about that for herself.

Toni’s confession! 😳 She said she don’t like them…Most of the damn time! Lol! Maybe they edited out the conversation? I’d like to know what was said about that!

Tamar the Terrible was irking me so bad at the beginning. So defensive. But like Ms. E, she did a 180. And then the ugly cry came. Ooh chile! She had me ballin’. 😩 But for second there, it became the Tamar show ….for just lil’ bit there. But it was progress.

I like to believe I’m well adjusted, but I’d like to go to therapy just to see what others see…like things I could work on. You’re never really as good or as bad as you think you are.

  • mikster

Man that’s crazy. What beloved do to them?

  • mikster

Why did I envision this whole thing 😂😂😂😂😂 extra petty. But I believe it!! Thing is has not coming back which is why she so mad. I mean she’s had so many opportunities to date but her heart still holds out hope. Mrs. E move on with your life and stop holding us all hostage!! (Yes I feel like a prisoner too 😂😂😂😂
    )

  • mikster

So Tamar said she was molested as a child on wendys show…… why is nobody talking about this.

  • mikster

Basically. I want an entire season dedicated to toni Braxtons distain for her entire family 😂😂😂😂

  • mikster

A few people mentioned it. I’m still in shock. I think she borderline hates her family lol. She also said she would be further along had she not helped them which is shocking considering she’s already the living legend. Like umm what’s greater than that??? But she did this show for them and nothing came of it. They all still some losers!!!! That’s they own fault. Toni Braxton is perfect lol well she was until she agreed to marry a bird.

  • Shondeon

When that chic said, “we wouldn’t even be friends”, I was DONE!!! I couldn’t wait to get to the comment section to see who else was talking about it. Evidently, even the commenters are in denial. 😂

  • Shondeon

Yes, boo, whatever you do, don’t forget the KITTEN heels!!!

  • Ms.Fatimah

This last episode took me out….damn

  • Grace Turner

    No problem!

  • DCendeavors

I do relate to your postion. However, one of my older sisters shared the same sentiments with me about our dysfunctional (for lack of a better term) familial relations. At the time, I responded, “Don’t say that!” It took losing her and her family in a plane crash to open my eyes. The more I observed my family’s interactions, the more I could relate to her position. Unfortunately, sometimes immediate family is more of mere “relatives” than “family.” I have a more closer and endearing bond with some of my first-generation cousins than with my own siblings. Granted, I do love my siblings, but I find keeping them at a distance fosters agape love for them. If either of them needed me for anything, I would drop everything to be there in a heartbeat though!

  • BrainsNBeauty

    Right! She cold blooded. 😂

  • BrainsNBeauty

I’m proud of Ms. Evelyn, I thought she’d resist the process a bit more but she actually embraced it with open arms. The way she said, “No, I don’t” when Iyanla said she still loves they daddy was PROOF she still loves him. 🤣 Anyone who can still hate a man as much as she does all these years later is still very much so hurt & in love. You’d think they just broke up yesterday. 😩

I’m willing to bet my LIFE SAVINGS that if him & his wife divorced & he wanted to try & rekindle with Ms. E, she’d be on the phone talking sh!t to one of her good girlfriends talkin bout, “Mmmhhhmmmm, I knew that sh!t wouldn’t last. Now here he come trying to come back home. But I’m gonna go to dinner with him just so he can see me looking good” as she’s putting on her BEST kitten heel, blondest lace wig, glossiest pair of pearls, & her most form fitting church skirt & blouse. 😏 Her soul smiled when he said he still has feelings for her. 😏

  • mikster

Exactly!!!!! Exposing all my yea I better have millions on millions

  • BrainsNBeauty

Y’all, I was sooooo ready to go in on that ugly cry Tamar did when she got to Traci based on the previews I saw. Why by the time they got to the end of the scene this hoe had me crying with her???? 😩😂 I do have one request though. I’m not even being funny, I need Tamar to teach me how to cry that hard without dropping tears or snot because she was crying sooooo hard but that concealer had NO streaks! I believe it was sincere but that was just incredible to me.😳

The way the episode ended you wouldn’t even think Tamar has been going on an “Iyanla Is A Fraud” tour & is now about to be sued by Iyanla & the OWN network. I thought they ended on a peaceful note.

  • TeeKae Williams

It is completely clear Tamar is suffering from borderline personality disorder. She acts EXACTLY like a relative of mine.

  • PowerFanatic

Right! She was talking to Mama and Daddy! Like Damn!!

  • PowerFanatic

Bigger question is after allllll these seasons why is this show your only source of income?? People have to learn how to capitalize off the exposure they receive GEESH!! 🤦🏽🤦🏽 No way Im going to gave the platform they do and not have several businesses!! Lol

  • BrainsNBeauty

And she made sure to reiterate “NOBODY” meaning mommy & daddy y’all too just so there’s no confusion. 😩

  • Wait! What?

I respectfully disagree. I’m tired of black people in the limelight having to be the spokesperson for all black people. You have families like the Obamas, The Jacksons, The Braxton’s, T.I. And Tiny, all the families on Married to Medicine, and Blackish who represent all types of black families…..and for families who seem put together on the outside, and dysfunctional on the inside…..this was great to see. I personally don’t think any young girl is going to see this and say “ohhh I wanna be like Tamar”. I think there were helpful communication tools shown that people can use in their REAL LIVES with their families….we (black people) have to stop living for the approval of “society” and start to live for the betterment of our own community and sometimes that’s uncovering not so pretty truths so they can heal….because let’s face it you can literally BE THE OBAMA’s and “society” will still paint you to be less than.

  • Tiffany Roby

Right…Toni’s confession was enough to end the entire session for me.

  • Tiffany

Iyanla Show…Townada and her husband was on there years ago…

  • mikster

    What show

  • mikster

I think the show messed them up. Does anyone realize Tracey said the show is all she has for income???? Like what season is this that ALL of you can’t retire and go do something else and be a real family ??

Or work together and build an empire like the Kardashians.

  • mikster

I gotta admit those years made me cry lol. She’s good. But once again you are making this whole thing about YOU!! Always the center of attention. I’m sure it was Tamar that said Tracey was dead to her…. where is that truth????? I’m a taymartian but to this I say bye felicia!!!

Nobody gonna acknowledge that Tony said she don’t like none of y’all most of the time?? Let that marinate!!!!! That’s enough right there to change my whole life. I blame momma for putting pressure on her to take care of the WHOLE family. Go be free tony….. be free!!

  • MzNeicy

Tamar is full of it she was so damn extra with those crocodile tear!!! Everybody else was genuine and it was heart felt! But that Tamar she needs some damn clinical help for real!!!

  • Tia -Ely Royana

I’m not going to lie, Tamar’s tearless crying seassion was dry and awkward af.

  • Tia -Ely Royana

The back of Tamar’s head look like mash potatoes.

  • Tia -Ely Royana

Tamar headback look like fry dumpling. LMAO.

  • Tia -Ely Royana

Tamar eyes dry like sahara desert. LMAO.

  • Tiffany

Yeah, since March she said…on the Rickey Smiley Mornimg Show

  • Tia -Ely Royana

No sah LMFAO Tamar eyes dem DRYYYY like popeye’s biscuit. NOT ONE tear wtf was all thaaaat. OMG. Emmy award acting.

  • Tiffany

    Right…I wonder why?

  • Tiffany

Sad thing is, I was on YouTube and noticed Towanda and her husband was on the show in 2000 and something….smh

  • Mademoiselle Goldie✨

For real, she obviously just thought giving her child a biblical nam would be sufficient 🤷🏽‍♀️

  • Sandra StJean Zbornak

    She is NOT a therapist

  • Sandra StJean Zbornak

Wow that’s sad considering that’s where Mrs E got the name from lol

  • PowerFanatic

And that I agree. And the point that I have been making >>>. “Anyone for that matter” people are commenting acting as if Iyanla cant be “got together” or her evaluations cant be challenged. Tamar with all the finger pointing and neck rolling and swishing and turning in her chair was CHILDISH ASF! THAT IS A FACT. But her simply detesting the things Iyanla was saying to her was not disrespectful. The family has let Tamar get away with that shit forever! Tamar is highly animated and her family has let her think that shit was okay and its not especially when she comes off looking like she did

  • mikster

I was confused. Wendy said she walked out

  • PowerFanatic

Cause she was here for it.. smh

  • PowerFanatic

I dont think any of these people talk to each other unless its business to be honest. I was thinking I wonder what these auntie, niece, nephew relationships are like?? 🤔🤔 you can clearly tell they have a connect simply from growing up together but it seems when the cameras are not rolling they probably dont even speak.

  • mikster

    Really wow

  • Tina

Tracy did an interview 2 days ago and said that her and Tamar haven’t spoke since that day.

  • Tiffany

I’m not sure if it is editing or not, but did any of you notice Ms. E grinning at Tamar’s comments toward Iyanla? I am sure they all discussed how Iyanla called out Ms. E when Trina was on the show with her ex-husband…and remember, Trina did say that Iyanla DID NOT fix her life as it relates to her appearance on the show.

  • Ayenda

    she just asked lol

  • Pebbles

Once they get from under thier mothe r thumb! Not allow her to guilt trip them every time they want to include thier other family and live how they really want they will be fine!

  • LotuSupreme

how was she abusive towards Tamar?

  • Pebbles

When I said exactly what you are saying I was told that I was wrong it’s about time people are beginning to see

  • Pebbles

    It’s the truth!

    Think about it!

The glue that’s holding them together, is thier mother . I said it before that I don’t think there would be a relationship between them if it weren’t for her.

Their brother makes an rarely appearance , but he living his life

Toni is ready to live her life .. all the financial hardship she endured who is to say that the real reason was her taking care of the family

This show been in long enough that everyone should have some type of side hustle , business etc

Toni living legend Braxton will not be taking care of her family any longer

  • Natalie Baxter

I know! I feel that her family embarrasses her. So she is angry at them. I also pick up on her wishing she never bought them into the music business. She wants to live happily ever after with her sons & Birdman. BTW I’m still smh about that!

  • Natalie Baxter

I agree. She really hurt her parents too. That’s not right. You don’t disrespect your parents. If you don’t like the way you were raised then you better be a better parent to your own children. Otherwise you will repeat the cycle

  • Natalie Baxter

I don’t like the way Twanda comes off most times. She acts like her [email protected]#t don’t stink. Yeah, she is capable of lying.

  • Mz DiDi

I agree and she’s 42…too DAMN old to behave the way she does.

  • Natalie Baxter

Yeah she did! They needed an intervention!

  • Natalie Baxter

I wasn’t surprised because she always looked older than her sisters. I could see they were treating her differently from the beginning.

I think Traci is finally coming into her own. This was always her dream. The best revenge is for her to keep living her best life! The rest of them need get it together.

  • Mz DiDi

I agree…you can’t tell them nothing without all that DAMN mouth and attitude. If she was on the streets, her ASS would’ve been dog-walked…PERIOD!

And you are to respect others, ESPECIALLY your elders. Hell she behaves like a 4 y/o.

  • Mz DiDi

It’s about using tact in your delivery and responses to your elders or anyone for that matter. And it’s apparent that Tamar and this younger generation don’t understand that. She was very disrespectful to Iyanla, as she is MOST of the time.

  • Gbunny

Can anyone explain to me how Iyanla was abusive towards Tamar?

  • NiHi

Remember that … because someday when someone younger sees YOU as “old” you might have to reflect back on it.

  • NiHi

    Cuz she was “acting”.

  • NiHi

Yeeessssss! Tamar gave her a “what u talking about Willis” look. Evelyn don’t like Iyanla so she was all for the disrespect until Iyanla called them out. Chile please! With all those sisters you’d think back in the day one of them would have punched her lil ass in the throat and got her in line. That’s what big sister’s are for lol!

  • NiHi

And the Oscar goes to T-A-M-A-RRRR. All that squenched face emotion and not ONE tear fell from Tamar’s eyes. How can you barely hold it together 6 damn times? Tamar’s “performance” was to save face because she realized how bad she came off. I feel the most honest confession came from Toni. It was also good to hear Iyanla and Towanda admit that Tamar and Evelyn are two sides to the same coin. Seeing the parents joint session without the girls was also great to see. It’s hard. I know how it feels because I’m in the same boat with my sister. Sometimes as adults we have to redefine sibling relationships. It’s hard, it hurts, but it’s necessary.

  • Doris G

Iyanla goes for the entire root of the hurt and pain. She just do not pluck off the leaves and break off the twigs and small branches. The Bible states that Jesus went to the root of evil, which is Hell. (no pun intended, or no disrespect)

  • Doris G

Yes exactly, Tamar jumped the gun, because she thought that all the problems she and the production company has had through the years, that they were going to air that molestation segment about her. Therefore she put it out first.

  • Elizabeth

IYANLA WAS SPEAKING STRAIGHT FACTS!!!! GREAT THERAPIST

  • Doris G

Yes King David sent Uriah to the front line to be killed because King David wanted to lay with Uriah’s beautiful wife Bathsheba. She had a child by King David but the baby died (son).

  • Doris G

You gave an excellent interpretation of the Old Testament scriptures story. The Old Testament is representative of things to come that was spoken in the New Testament. I love the Old Testament!!!!!

  • Sandra StJean Zbornak

Absolutely. Ms E needs counseling herself. She is holding on to pain from decades ago and passing it on to the THIRD generation. Papa Braxton can’t even bring his wife to the first great grand baby event because she’ll be there. I mean this is quite some time to be angry. I definitely believe she talked about their dad incessantly. She told Tamar’s business acting like a good mom, where was this good mom when she was being abused? Where was this good mom during the years of abuse? Taking the money Tamar gave from a result of being abused

  • Sy

In the last of four girls… in a black family. And this right here is a TRUE representation of what I’ve gone through. I understand it all. Which is sad but this ish is REAL

  • Lala

Omg soo proud of the whole family especially Tamar for being so honest

  • Mike Williams

    Thank you!!

  • Mike Williams

Have a seat and find an actual point that is relevant. Clearly you have an issue with any kind of authority just like Tamar…

  • Mike Williams

If the elder was NOT being disrespectful then they should get the respect that they gave. If Tamar did the mess on the street that ass would’ve been tapped. So sit down with all of that!

  • PowerFanatic

Girl Tamar was looking at her like “Nuh uh Ma, this wasnt what we rehearsed” 🤣🤣

  • Ms. Mk

Toni is angry. She said it herself. Her words are as a result of that- anger. She’ll be fine. They all will eventually.

  • Ms. Mk

Toni’s strength and honesty is scary!! I really want to see this family heal.

  • Ms. Mk

She got an epiphany and it was remarkable to see her finally see herself for who she’s been all along. I hope she grows from this and becomes better. I hope the whole family recovers from all the pain.

  • PowerFanatic

Exactly. !!! Thats a stigma set in the black community.. RESPECT YOUR ELDERS (NO MATTER WHAT).

  • My parents could give us the “eye” and we straightened up as little one. Bad behavior simply wasn’t tolerated and we were appropriately disciplined when we got out of line, but we were always given the room to respectfully speak our feelings.

Something tells me Ms. E talked about their father (who definitely did wrong) like a dog and tainted their perceptions, and I’ve noticed a cold mean streak about her. …I wonder if a lot of that angry, loud, woopty-woo (of Tamar’s) is how Ms. E behaved when her husband left — and her daughters witnessed it.

  • PowerFanatic

“Its her experience “” (Iyanla voice) 😅😅 If that girl felt disrespected thats how she felt and cant nobody change that 🤷🏽And yes I was absolutely raised to respect my elders but in no way shape or form is anybody going to talk to me in a demeanor which I FEEL IS UNACCEPTABLE! PERIOD. I have a right to feel how I feel and I have a right to let you know how I feel. We all do. People as a whole deserve your respect and manners no matter the age. That’s whats wrong with us now. And I can speak from personal experience (MY EXPERIENCE 😅) I couldnt speak my mind. Its was listen and shut up as a child and in adolescent years. Side effect can either be: as an adult I still have issues communciating for fear of the unkown response or I end up spewing a bunch of attitude cause I held things in for so long.. So no I dont her behavior acceptable but sometimes I find myself understanding where she coming from.. Thats all

  • Yep, for someone who didn’t raise their children to disrespect their elders, she sure put up with it for a minute.

My parents could give us the “eye” and we straightened up as little one. Bad behavior simply wasn’t tolerated, but we were always given the room to respectfully speak our feelings.

Im talking about this particular episode Sis (not the show in its entirety).. lol. Maybe I didnt make myself clear on that part..

And I disclaimed that I keep up with them through blogs..comment forums like this one.. I used to watch..snippets on YouTube.. I used to watch BFV frequently but somewhere down the line I just stop checking the guide 😅😅 ..

  • LaNiece Robinson

Ding ding ding…Her face was dry as hell…She wanted attention, once again….She acts like she’s a man that wants to be a woman…Just to damn animated…

  • LaNiece Robinson

I love me some Toni Braxton..Her first album put her in a position to always be remembered…This show wasn’t for her that’s why she’s not filmed that much, it’s for her family…

  • Mademoiselle Goldie✨

Yup! God didn’t let him get away with it basically

  • MelaninBeauty

    💯

  • Tiny Kasirye

That’s no excuse to treat people like trash. We’ve all been through things, but you seek help and you treat people with respect. You don’t treat people like dogs and verbally abuse them and show zero empathy then hide behind the fact you were molested as a kid. Life doesn’t work that way.

  • Tiny Kasirye

I’m baffled how you keep saying “what I’ve seen as a whole” cause the only time see we see their interactions with each other is on THIS show, so what other time would you have seen their interactions? 😕. You also said in a different comment that you haven’t watched other seasons in awhile, so how do you draw an opinion having not seen the things Tamar has done and how she’s acted. And I like that : “empty faced” 😆.

  • Tiny Kasirye

Iyanla never once came at Tamar disrespectfully. Name one thing she said that was out of line, I’ll wait…. 🤔. Tamar is the one that went off on one and it was shameful and disgraceful, hence her performance at the end. And most of us were raised right that you respect your elders and have manners. If you weren’t raised that way, I don’t know what to tell you, but it could be why you find Tamar’s disgusting behaviour acceptable.

  • Tiny Kasirye

I said nothing about white people in my comment or allowing them to dictate how we act. I’m worried about the effects this show could have on young black girls watching this who look up to these women. This family is not a positive representation of sisterhood and of successful and intelligent black women. It is embarassing and disgraceful. Majority of black households are not like this. We support each other’s success and are not crabs in a bucket, but this family is setting a bad example and I worry for young black girls and young black women watching this and looking up to these women and this family.

  • PowerFanatic

And she emphasized EVERYBODY. I think she was talking to the Mama and Daddy too.. 👀👀🙊🙊

  • Fina Jalaya Rose

I can’t believed I watched this and was in tears. Snotty tears, im so proud of Tamar.

  • Sandra StJean Zbornak

Tamar has been sexually abused since she was a child by numerous people. It’s not uncommon to be loud when you feel your voice wasn’t heard from childhood. Especially being in TWO abusive marriages as an adult. Who wouldn’t be acting out?

  • Sandra StJean Zbornak

Exactly. You don’t get respect because you’re old lol that’s ludicrous

  • Sandra StJean Zbornak

Iyanla is not a professional, she is a joke. Female dr Phil with less knowledge

  • Sandra StJean Zbornak

I don’t think people realize how hurtful what she said really is. She said if we didn’t have genetic relation they wouldn’t even be friends. So what would happen if they took a dna test and she found of she wasn’t related to them? Deuces? It really means she doesn’t like any of their characters…and I get not liking someone sometimes but she said MOST of the time which means she means all the time to me actually. Very hurtful

  • PowerFanatic

But Iyanla cant say for 1000% certainty that she didnt judge Tamar prematurely.. sorry not sorry.

  • PowerFanatic

Black woman, white woman, red blue green woman. Elder youngin or in between if I dont like the way I am being spoken to or about I have a right to voice it. “Elders” cant think just because of age they can say what they want and how they want to ppl because of their age. Respect is earned not given. That stigma has definitely been put in black community though. Can get cussed to the moon and back , oh but you better not say nothing since its Grandma or Auntie thats doing the cussing.. nope 🙅🏽

  • R C

    😂☺

  • PowerFanatic

Agreed!!! The editing looked like VH1 with what they be doing with LHH.. LOL.. Some stuff just wasnt adding up

  • PowerFanatic

I agree on Evelyn “checking” Tamar. My Mama would have gotten a nice little respectful “CHILL”

  • PowerFanatic

I said the same thing about the part where Ms E “Got Tamar Together “. She only did that cause Iyanla said something to them. Its almost like Ms E was offended and felt the need to say something out of obligation. She found nothing wrong with Tamar and what she was doing..

  • Tina

I like the show but I hope they just cancel it and give Tracy her own show I want to see what more she have to give

  • Tina

Tawanda lie on Tracy ,because the two episodes that the sisters wasn’t involved in, Tracy talked about the christening ,but she didn’t invite them because they wasn’t talkin to her , Tracy husband and Dad discuss that when they was out in the backyard eating crabs. Actually Tawanda lied twice on Tracy I didn’t know she was a big liar like that

  • PowerFanatic

Like that shocking of Toni to say IMO. I mean I would have really been hurt if I was the sisters.. like DAMN!!

  • Sandra StJean Zbornak

I disagree. Why do we allow white people to dictate how we “should” act? Why can’t she behave how she wants? Her actions reflect her own, she was sexually abused and her voice as a child was silenced, so now she acts “extra” but let her do it. We can be the most poised and perfect and THEY will still try and tear us down

  • Sandra StJean Zbornak

I can’t stand their mom. She has created all of their issues with men. Yes what he did was dead wrong, but it’s almost twenty years ago! And she makes them choose her over their dad because she doesn’t want to be around him and the wife. Which is sad that no matter what new baby, wedding etc she will not put her pride to the side. She also makes me angry threatening her “kids” they are grown women and we have it in the black community that it’s good to be checked like this, nah. It’s silencing us and making us keep everything in

  • Trinidivine

    LOL!!!

  • Sandra StJean Zbornak

Well that means you don’t love them either. Seems like you feel obligated to them and obligated to SAY you love them because they’re your sisters, but if you don’t like them MOST of the time, that’s concerning. People think you HAVE to love family, if they wouldn’t be your friend and you only “love” them because of relation…that’s not real love

  • PowerFanatic

Yes indeed for the entertainment part so its like How am I supposed to take any of yall seriously? But Evelyn wasnt worried about Tamar “disrespect” towards Iyanla until she said “who corrects this” E put on a front and act liked she was getting Tamar together for the sake of “parenting” but in reality she only did it cause her “parenting ” was challenged by that one question. And no she dont get a pass cause she is indeed too old for the nonsense

  • PowerFanatic

Hey girl hey boo! Thats why I can stand to be corrected! Thats why I had my disclaimer ! Im just going based off what I have seen on BFV/Tamar and Vince/ blogs and comments.. Dont get me together Sis.. 🙈🙈 You know you good for a good snatching 🤣

  • PowerFanatic

Evelyn didnt say anything to Tamar until Iyanla questioned “Who corrects her”. That was old lady under the tree shade! Iyanla was basically (IMO) saying “Is this what you raised?” And Ms E didnt like that..

  • PowerFanatic

Im not talking about necessarily on THIS show! Im talking about what I have seen as a whole! I dont think they were shocked. They are used to Tamar being this way cause she very well may be a “I demand my respect” type of person.. They all were empty faced if you ask me. (LOL Did I just make that up? ) Empty faced is the best way I could put it..

  • Cardio32

    Spot on. I agree.

  • Cardio32

I saw it, I thought did this show copy off of Greenleaf ?

  • The one that stuns me is when Lot offers his 2 virgin daughters to a mob of raging rapists. (Genesis 19:8)

  • It’s very sad and disturbing b/c Tamar could never marry or have a family after that. I think God checked King David for sweeping Tamar’s violation under the rug and refusing to punish the rapist (Amnon, his spoiled eldest son/heir).

That refusal to do right set off a chain of family dysfunction, and King David ended up losing 2 sons b/c Tamar’s brother (Absalom) was livid. He bid his time then invited all his brothers to dinner and had Amnon stabbed to death. Later Absalom went to war with his father and raped some of his wives – but died in the battle.

  • 1Love404

Girl you preachin all up and down this board lol.

  • I’ve said the same thing before yet probably in an unkind way (derided made-up ghetto names as stupid), but I’m learning. *giggle*

  • Straightshooter

They were asking for more money stupid!

  • Santanaa

I love tamar music , but she’s such a hood rat , shes ratchet and ghetto as hell .. the other sisters have class and shes the only one that’s act like she from the hood .. girl stop all that acting ..

  • Santanaa

You said it best like fr

  • Iyanla is sort of a life coach and spiritual teacher.

She’s not a licensed therapist, counselor, psychologist, psychiatrist or MD of any sort, so she wouldn’t be bound by patient confidentially (HIPAA).

  • Tiny Kasirye

Omg, can you imagine if Traci had revealed that about any of the sister’s men, they would have disowned her, but they can do any and everything to Traci.

  • Tiny Kasirye

Not an imaginary boyfriend. I’m crying 😂😂

  • Tiny Kasirye

Sis, their faces were exactly how they were when Toni called their dad last episode and found out their brother wasn’t invited to the christening either after they swore up and down that he was!

  • Tiny Kasirye

    Thank you! 👏🏾👏🏾

  • Tiny Kasirye

You do matter cause you’re a consumer boo, and they need consumers like us in order for them to sell albums and make money. I also can’t invest in anything Tamar’s selling at the moment. I don’t want anything to do with this spirit and this energy.

  • Tiny Kasirye

You did not say “you’re usually on here with the shits” 😂😂

  • Tiny Kasirye

Yes, speak on it! There was a satanic spirit in that woman. It is laughable that anyone would think Vince is the abuser here. This woman is abusive and violent and has no respect for anyone. Vince should count his lucky stars and get far away.

  • Tiny Kasirye

This is dumb. So if we can see straight through her act because she sat up there with no tears we have bad energy and an issue of mistrust and judgement? Get a grip. Not all of us are gullible and foolish enough to fall for Tamar’s act.

  • …on the curb with a quickness!

  • Tiny Kasirye

Me too! We needed to see an apology on here after how they’ve treated her the past few months! And how they’ve treated her all their lives!

  • Tiny Kasirye

Yes, me too! That shut them up when she said how come the standards are different for Trina!

  • Tiny Kasirye

If anything, Ms Iyanla was way easier on Tamar than she is with most guests on the show. She was able to see her rage and behaviour for what they are: pain. That being said, Tamar is disrespectful af. We’ve all been through some shit, especially as black women, but we don’t go around treating people like this, especially our elders. It was actually painful to watch.

  • Tiny Kasirye

None of them agreed with her, sis 😐. Did you see their faces when she was going off on Ms Iyanla? They were in shock and shaking their heads in disapproval. Even Trina was in shock when she kept making faces when Ms E was telling her to calm down. Ms E had to say “I got this Trina” cause Trina was so shocked she looked like she was about to correct Tamar for Ms E.

  • Tiny Kasirye

Uh, watch the show, sis. You can’t say all this and then admit you haven’t watched it in however long. Tamar is a monster hence her nickname being Tamonster. She’s been allowed to run a muck and never been corrected. It’s a whole mess.

  • Tiny Kasirye

That’s what I was thinking, like how is sis gonna say all this having not watched the show in awhile. I think there’s more comments where she says okay, she’s watching now 😆

  • I heard Toni loud ‘n clear about not liking her family. It was pointed out a few seasons ago that Toni and Tamar were the only ones that supported their mother financially — while Towanda, Traci and Trina contributed nothing. Also, it’s no secret that Ms. E put an unfair pressure on Toni to financially support the whole damn family, and hook her sisters up. …Being supportive of each other is one thing, but I can’t support a parent putting that kind of parental obligation on a child.

There are things that don’t sit right with me about Ms. E., and I haven’t quite put my finger on them yet. It was uncomfortable to see how Trina seems almost terrified of her, and it was telling how she watched Tamar show her ass (again) and didn’t say a word until Iyanla asked “who gets to correct her?”

As to Tamar? I still can’t and won’t. This is a 40+ year old girl that couldn’t even own the fact that she broke an agreement by showing up late (3:45) for a 1:30 call — and it’s indicative of her constant pattern on BFVs of never taking responsibility for her own actions, and playing the victim.

This little girl was being very “disruptive” by rolling her eyes, pursing her lips, shaking her head, swerving her neck, crossing her arms and bouncing in her chair when others were speaking. She can’t absorb other’s POV or deal very well when she’s not the center of attention — then takes offense when that very kind of “behavior” is called out. …I’m not sure when that became “name-calling” (as Tamar falsely accused), but Iyanla was deadass to finally call out her “abusive” behavior of eye-rolling etc. and yelling “lies” while Traci was speaking.

  • Excepcion

But to have to raise your voice on a 42yr old like she forgot how to sit in time out ? I don’t think that was fake .. I think Tamar was acting a REAL fool and E had to say cut that stupid shit out.

  • Quina Famila

Watch the latest episode of Greenleaf and this will all make sense.

  • Tiny Kasirye

I don’t know about ya’ll but I was waiting for Tamar to say “I confess that I was disrespectful to you Iyanla and I’m sorry…” but it never came 😳

  • Tiny Kasirye

I don’t know about ya’ll but this family is an embarassment to the black community. Tamar literally behaves the stereotypical way people think all black women behave and they have the type of dysfunctional mess that people think all black families have. Black families are some of the strongest family units in the world. We have each other’s back, your success is my success so we don’t get jealous of each other’s success, but these sisters right here…. 😑

  • Kay

    👏🏾👏🏾

  • Kay

Seriously. I hated how Traci apologised to her too. Traci ain’t never done a daggone thing to that woman. I feel like they should have said “it will take me time to get over everything, but after that apology, I’m open to forgiveness” cause them forgiving instantly and saying the slate is clean feels like just another band aid over a bleeding, infected wound.

  • Kay

Lmao not an imaginary boyfriend no ones met 😂. Yeah, I remember Towanda bringing it out on the show and can you imagine if the roles were reversed and Traci had been the one to bring out one of the sister’s business like that, they would have given her a public flogging.

  • Kay

Tell it. This is a 40 year old woman and she’s literally acting 17. Where they do that at?! Neck rolling, making faces, getting into it with Iyanla when Iyanla was trying to heal the family and actually handled them way easier than she handles most people on this show, wagging her finger in Iyanla’s face, yelling out “liar!” when Traci was speaking her truth, the list goes on. Tamar is a toxic trick *Vivica Fox voice* and that crying at the end was all for show. Immediately after this she went on to call Iyanla all sorts and accuse her of sex shaming her about her molestation. Say what? The whole situation is a mess and if she were my sister, I would have to love her from afar.

  • Kay

You know I love you sis and we go way back, but how can you give such a long opinion having admitted you don’t watch this show, can’t remember the last episode you watched and that you didn’t watch this episode either. Ain’t nobody jealous of Tamar. They have treated her with kid gloves, while she has been a bull in a china shop knocking everything down and ruining all the relationships. Tamar is a 40+ year old woman and she acts 17. She has no empathy for anyone, she is self centred, selfish, disrespectful and plays the victim in every situation.

  • Insight2020

I think Iyanla is the only counselor they’ve gone to that has helped them see the light. People bash her but like I say, when the cameras stop rolling and people go home, they feel her impact and know that what she says for the most part, is true.

  • Mademoiselle Goldie✨

Tamar from the bible, was sexually assaulted/raped by a family member (half brother) who was filled with crazy lust over her, and after she was raped she was then shamed and abandoned. It’s quite sad, you can read about it in more details in 2nd Samuel 13 from the Old Testament.

  • Mademoiselle Goldie✨

Yup! I’m Ghanaian and we have naming ceremonies! So I can relate to what you’re saying

  • Mademoiselle Goldie✨

Lmaooo yeah me too I’m actually rooting for Tamar to be better

  • Mademoiselle Goldie✨

🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 I’m really glad to hear that girl, thank you!

  • Mademoiselle Goldie✨

That’s very true, like Iyanla said, she hasn’t showed them any boundaries with herself, she’s always acting like the joker and the sisters feeds off of that and just walk all over her.. it’s sad but I hope she creates these boundaries now because she’s a mother and grandmother.

  • Mademoiselle Goldie✨

Yeah trust me I take names seriously too I’m Ghanaian so hi 5 loool! We have naming ceremonies too.. but yeah the name Tamar might not have an awful meaning but the story behind her is dark so I’m right with you.

  • Koko Dizzle

PREACH Toni Braxton is humble as can be this is a woman that was competing with Whitney and Mariah these were the women selling out areas and topping the charts…

  • Fouet Bonbon

Okay, I cried with Tamar and the rest of the family. I pray for their full recovery with themselves and each other.

  • Rokses

The family didn’t change either. Enabling her behaviour

  • Rokses

Even more confusing. To spite Iyanla now she publicaly announces this?!

  • Rokses

    Lol

  • Rokses

They asked Iyanla for help. And they choose to air all their business including the multiple therapy sessions. And even if she never knew Tamar before, she is going on a delirious trip about being committed after being 2 hours late

  • Rokses

She tought long and hard during her break to make herself seem rightious. The whole act is why will see in the end that nothing is going to change. She was moving so much to try to push out a tear, didn’t happen.

  • Jazmine Dee

i have a feeling they heavily edited the episode after Tamar went to Wendy Williams

  • Lina

She ain’t made NAN effort!!! She put on a show, which is what WE wanted, and went right out that house and on to social media to air out Iyanla’s WHOLE ASS💁 Tamar is Tamar….I love her, and all her ratchetness, but u gotta call a spade a damn spade ♠ and I’m not gon make excuses for her🤷

  • mandi

no tamar is very disrespectful and thats what iyanla saw on her first day the show have nothing to do with behavior

  • Lina

Miss E treated Tamar like a child because that’s what she acted like! Watch the entire episode. All that side eye, neck rollin n lip smackin, pointing her finger….what GROWN 30 something year old woman does that?!! It’s not acceptable just cuz she’s Tamar Braxton. And THAT’S the point Iyanla was trying to make and the reason Miss E got on her ass! U may have been wronged, but BAYBAY u have done wrong too!! So STOP with the shenanigans n get the help u need!! With that being said, I feel like all the shit FAKE cuz DIRECTLY after, Tamar went on to call Iyanla a fruad n Iyanla allegedly suing her ass for it💁 THIS SHIT IS FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY…..CLEARLY🤷

  • Lina

Righttttt!!! I’m so confused it don’t make sense!!! The episode was intense n I teared up a few times but in the back of my mind all I could see was Tamar’s neck rolling saying “HER NAME AINT EVEN IYANLA!! IT’S RHONDA!!!!” 😂😂😂😂😂

  • ItzOnly1ofMe

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. Most of the time I watch and I feel myself vegetating; the story line is a way to fill space BUT this finale touched my heart! I saw genuine emotion, genuine healing & I thank God that HE gave Tamar a release! Iyanla can be arrogant but she’s right! She’s gifted. I pray that they hold onto the healing process for the benefit of their family and NOT let the business of show destroy the legacy they are capable of leaving.

  • k a r l b

I straighten my posture up so quick when Mrs. E yelled at Tamar…I thought the hen piss was bout to get slapped outta me

  • Im trying to figure out how Tamar can do all the confessing and crying but leave and call the woman a devil????

  • kiwi

…well, they had me teared up 😅

  • PowerFanatic

That little lashing Ms E gave Tamar was fake asf! Thats why Tamar was looking like that. 🤣Ms E was all for it until Iyanla said “who corrects this”. She felt she had to say something so she wouldnt be embarrassed .. Its like Iyanla was like bish “this how you raised your kids?”

  • PowerFanatic

Im sorry!! Tamar makes a point about Iyanla. She is used to her method of “teaching” being dealt with and accepted and not challenged. Iyanla took what she knew about Tamar from the show and social media and judged her based off of that. 🤷🏽 And that’s the deal with celebrities on this show. Iyanla already has a preconceived notion on who these people are and I feel like thats unfair from the get. Celebrities (ones that have something to lose or are still in the limelight) are not good for this show. Period! I understand as the mediator she has a right to over talk at times and bring order but I am in no way going to sit up and let someone basically TELL me who I am without me having a word to say back especially if I feel its not true.. 🤷🏽

  • PowerFanatic

Okay.. Im watching now. LOL. You can clearly see here and in previous episodes different sisters at time whole heartedly agree with Tamar but dont stick by her side. Its like they are forbidden from taking up for her. I just wish Tamar knew how to articulate herself in a better way! She makes ALOT of good points but all that extra shit..popping of the lips.. neck rolling.. hand gestures take a fromt seat to her sense she is making. Lol. Okay back to it.. lol

  • 1Love404

What if it’s all the botox and fillers that make it hard for tears to come out

  • PowerFanatic

    >>>UNPOPULAR OPINION HERE <<<<<< LIKE ALWAYS! 🤣🤣 FULL DISCLAIMER : I dont remember the last complete episode of The Braxtons that I have watched. Im not interested in watching this episode or any other episode. My statement is based solely on what I have seen in the past and currently on blogs and snippets of all the drama. 1st thing 1st, I find Tamar to be the black sheep of the family. It seems the trio (Towanda Traci and Trina) flow with the wind and whoever they arr2 feeling at the moment between Tamar and Toni. I have always gotten an envious spirit from the trio towards Tamar. 🤷🏽Something no one ever probably expected to happen was Tamar come out to be "a star" from this show!! Something I dont think any of them would ever everrrr eva eva admit. Tamar is a piece of fckn work, no denying, but from what I have seen it seems like nothing is ever anyones fault. Tamar seems to be highly misunderstood and I have found myself when I used to watch the show screaming at the tv like "Are yall even listening to the girl 🗣🗣🗣?" Idk its just something about Tamar that I relate to in such a way that makes me almost feel sorry for her. Toni seems to be 2 faced in some ways. Its like she is a different person with Tamar when its just the 2 of them VS wit Everybody.
And I didnt watch the show but i have seen snippets of the whole "Tamar was being disrespectful to Iyanla" scene
Listen here, elder or no elder you have to give respect to earn respect. I dont give a damn who you are or what position you are in. Mother, father, auntie, uncle, granddaddy, WHOEVER! Ms E would have gotten a polite "Mama chill" from me. She treated Tamar like a child in the moment I saw. Sorry not sorry. If I feel disrespected Im going to let it be known. And they used to always get mad at her for walking away.. ? Smh.

  • Kay

I hate to say it, but I didn’t sense anything genuine there. That dramatic crying is her default behaviour when she sees that everyone is against her antics… Remember she did the same thing when they met with Bishop TD Jakes? She burst into tearless crying and all her sisters looked at her like 😴. Look at Toni’s face through all this and Towanda’s. Even Traci doesn’t look that convinced. I really hope she makes a change too. She literally doesn’t get along with anyone: not her sisters, colleagues, friends, no one. The only ones that tolerate her are Tiny and the gay guys on her payroll 🙈.

  • LaReyna09

You’re right! And it’s quite obvious that a 40-something year old won’t automatically transform overnight. She does need to get help and prove to her family that she’s sincere because old habits die hard.

  • LaReyna09

Exactly. They really watered the episode down with editing, especially considering that this was the season finale.

  • LaReyna09

“Tamar is the outward manfestation of what Ms. Evelyn carries on the inside.” Whew! Iyanla, if you don’t stop stating these facts! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

  • Noma Mali

Me too! I would have loved to see them apologise to Traci.

  • Noma Mali

Remember even at Bishop TD Jakes intervention thingy, she cried exactly like this && none of the sisters were moved by it. They’ve seen it all before. Its an act && not a very good one 😆

  • Noma Mali

What does this mean? They can thank Tamar for what?? 😕

  • Noma Mali

    👏🏾👏🏾

  • Noma Mali

    Tell it! 👏🏾

  • Noma Mali

Wow! This is spot on! 😳👏🏾👏🏾

  • Noma Mali

You better give your son a gold star coz that little boy is smart! 👏🏾 Tay Tay was faking in that scene. I didn’t see no tears, no makeup running, nada.

  • Noma Mali

Tell it! Remember how shady Towanda was in season 3 bringing out the rumour about the love child? && yet Traci is still married && is a duchess now, while Towanda has an imaginary boyfriend that no ones met!

  • Noma Mali

Where is the lie though 🤔. Towanda was shady in season 3 bringing up the rumour of Traci’s husband having a baby out of wedlock && yet Traci is still happily married and has a brand new grandbaby while Towanda has an imaginary boyfriend that ain’t nobody met! 😆

  • LaReyna09

Yeah. I’m sure they’ve gone through that time and time again because Towanda even said that Tamar has apologized to her in the past. It’s just that this time around Tamar was intense and dramatic with it. I do believe that she genuinely meant what she said this time around though and I hope she can get herself right.

  • Noma Mali

They owe Traci an apology! When Tracey apologised to Tamar too, I wanted to jump in my screen. She doesn’t owe her shit. She ain’t never done a daggone thing to that woman!

  • Noma Mali

You’re usually on here with the shits, but this time round you came through with the facts! 😆. I see no lies here!

  • Noma Mali

OMG thank you! If she was really crying, her foundation would have done that icky thing it does when you cry. Instead it stayed matte.

  • LaReyna09

I LOOOOOOOOVE how Iyanla got Towanda and Trina to see that they do indeed foster a hypocritical double standard when it comes to Traci!

  • Noma Mali

That demonic spirit was wrestling in Tamar. You see it all over her face && I think that’s why she’s jumping up and down so much is coz that spirit is at war with her. The woman has serious issues && she needs serious help.

  • Noma Mali

Omg, I just commented this. Toni literally wasn’t moved by that performance. She sees it for what it is! 😆

  • Noma Mali

Cut the act, Tamar 🙄. && look at how Toni just sits there looking right through Tamar’s act. They know it’s all b.s 😆

  • leapyearpisces

LMAO!!!!! Tamar stays manipulating, and manages to always crawl out of a pile of shat smelling like Roses. That dramatization at the end was for her to basically say, don’t nobody come for me about shat behavior because I am apologizing. Tamar didn’t want that as whooping Evelyn was gonna hand out to her after the show. Tamar had BETTER HAD came up with SOMETHING, because was surely gonna that switch if she didnt. Tamar to her break and got in that truck and starting working on a plan. LMAO LMAO LMAO!!!!

  • LaReyna09

    Yes ma’am!

  • Kay

Lmao your son is smart! This was acting and not very good acting, at that. I can’t believe some people are actually falling for it 😮. There were no tears, and how the hell are you so defiant one second then you go to the car for a bit and come back and have suddenly seen the light? 🤔

  • LaReyna09

Correct, correct, correct! I’m LOVING this thread!

  • LaReyna09

YES! I know ALL about it!! 🙋🏾‍♀️🖐🏾🖐🏾

  • LaReyna09

Awesome! I made a similar comment regarding Remy Ma’s and Papoose’s new show on VH1 because he wanted to be very selective in naming their baby. It’s refreshing to see that someone else knows how imperative the name selection of a child is. It’s very prevalent in my culture, as I’m Nigerian and we do indeed have naming ceremonies for our babies. Yes, Tamar’s name may be Biblical, but it does have a negative and mournful connotation.

  • yeah yeah yeah

Smh 🤦🏾‍♀️ All y’all in the comments talking about, “I don’t believe Tamar” “oh she lying” “whatever, she’ll be back to her old self after the show” pause and check YOUR energy and YOUR issue of mistrust and judgement 🙄

You can NOT and will NOT change 30something years of behavior ON ONE SHOW OR OVERNIGHT‼️‼️ It’s going to take TIME and she made an effort to start NOW.

Y’all be blessed and free of judgement ✊🏾❣️

  • leapyearpisces

Gotta love Toni. She is so composed.

  • LaReyna09

“If they weren’t my family, I wouldn’t have them as friends.” WOW! I feel Toni 1,000,000% on that one. Did anyone else notice her blank and dry facial expression through the dramatics of Tamar’s “confession”/apology? Toni was not moved AT ALL! The proof is in the pudding.

  • leapyearpisces

    AND Narcissistic Disorder.

  • LaReyna09

    BOL!!! 😂😂😂

  • LaReyna09

Definitely concur with what you stated. Although I don’t care too much for Tamar due to her tendencies, I do have to admit that she did appear to be the most genuine that I’ve EVER seen her be. I sincerely hope that she makes a real change and commitment to transforming, or better yet, eradicating her inner turmoil. We’ve all been hurt and scarred due to one circumstance or the other, but it definitely is repulsive to carry on the way that she does at her age.

  • leapyearpisces

Why did someone say that face Tamar made when she was talking to Tracy needed to be made into a mask in time for Halloween. LOL.

  • leapyearpisces

I told tall this whole boycotting thing was the ACTUAL STORYLINE for this season. LOL. How the others boycotting filming when for except 2 episodes, I was still seeing them on my TV? Yes! great screenwriting INDEED! SOMEBODY needs an Emmy. LOL.

  • LaReyna09

Excellent, concise and very well worded! 💯 And when she spoke her piece it was as if she was relaying my life story. It’s hard being the eldest child at times and feeling as though you have to continually stunt your personal desires, growth and achievement for “the sake of the family.”

  • kinky twist

Im sorry i hate to even leave this comment ,but i still didnt believe tamar . She’s done this waaay to many times smh and went right back to her ways , i hope she changes and get help though

  • Doris G

My goodness, when Tamar disrespected Ms.Iyanla, I saw a satanic spirit in Tamar. That unclean spirit even showed in Tamar when her mother said, “wait a minute” Tamar eyes and her behavior revealed that foul spirit. This is when Tamar should have worn the “T” shirt that said, “Not today Satan” I am so happy that Tamar and all saw their parts in the family discourse. I think that this really helped them to understand one another and to move forward in their lives. Traci was so real and receiving of the process.

  • Nikki C

I had to do the whole sign in thing JUST to reply to say…THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING! My 7 year old son came when I was yelling at Tamar through my laptop screen to stop the fake sadness (where are the tears, Tamar?!). He watched her for a minute and said, “Mommy, she’s not really sad, that is acting”. Lol!!

  • Jessica Johnson

Tamar confession so dramatic…but I hope she gets help an b a better person…

  • Kay

Thank you! I didn’t see not one tear and even the whole “Tra….aci….” thing she was doing as though she’s crying so hard she can’t get the words out looked hella fake. And right after this supposed breakthrough, she calls Iyanla the devil on social media and talks smack about her on Wendy?! 😳 The woman ain’t changed one bit. It’s all an act.

  • Kay

Lol I’m not even joking. She has the telltale signs of it. Difficulty feeling empathy for others, extreme and inappropriate reactions to things, unstable relationships where you can’t get along with friends, colleagues and your family, feeling like you’re the victim in EVERY situation… If that ain’t Tamar, I don’t know what is 😅.

  • Kay

Some men don’t need to be kept and neither do some women, like watching Tamar in this made me feel like Vince is dodging a bullet with this divorce. Tamar is all kinds of crazy! 😅

  • Causewhy?

I been laughing at “she has border line personality disorder” for a minute 😂😂

  • I thinks it’s dope that they shared this experience. A lot of families have similar issues and dynamics that prevent the flow of love. Tamar… I hope she heard herself say those things out loud and the words registered somewhere in her spirit. Maybe she was high i don’t know but she was all over the place from beginning to end.

  • Gerome Wright

    Yes, yes, yes.

  • PeaceSign

she wipin away all these tears that don’t exist ctfuuuu

  • PeaceSign

    this is some great screenwriting…

but anyhow, their issues have definitely be broiling for a while. Some families really don’t need fame…

  • ExtraChocolate80

Yes you are right on point, Toni Braxton is the only reason why there is even a show in the first place.

  • ExtraChocolate80

Yeah I’m still on the fense with Tamar. I don’t believe she turned the corner just yet. Her mouth is sassy and lethal and it cuts like a knife sometimes. At 40, you need to learn to have some kind of filter which make her look very childish at times.

  • ExtraChocolate80

Yup, many people on this board caught that way before this episode aired. It’s like Toni and Tamar are out on tour promoting their albums and doing their thang. Traci time is now and she can’t afford to be out of work like that. She wouldn’t be broke but I guess compared to her other sisters, her incoming revenue is much less. Also, she must try to maintain her current lifestyle which was way different from season 1.

  • Sassy

they do but also trina got pregnant and she was still giving a deal smh

  • Sassy

they sholl dont but Traci had his share of infidelity too remember there was suppose to be a alleged child

  • Sassy

I understand that they do edit but they need to put some of what the allegations are so we can see from some point…hell I didnt get nothing

  • Sassy

then I think since she is the baby she did hurt more from her parents divorce then being left at home with her mom probably being depressed she didnt have any where to turn since her sisters are gone…she seeing the hurt her mom went through then being molested by ppl u trusted…family that’s a lot within itself and she has not fully had a chance to heal and it’s a scar that she just put a bandage on..but it’s still eating and rotten at the core of her life, her HAPPINESS

  • Gerome Wright

Girllll, the BIBLE has some stories that will make your head SPIN!!!! Get in the Word. The women were something else!

  • ExtraChocolate80

The end was very emotional. Trina and Tamar cry a lot over the many seasons. But the older sisters were hard as a rock they didn’t shed a tear and in general they rarely do lol!!

  • Gerome Wright

But the sad thing is that TRACI has taught them how to treat her by always playing the victim. YES, you got pregnant…millions do. YES, the record label took them and not you. YES, they treat you like the red head step child. That was evident when they labeled her the “wannabe.” I never would have agreed to that shit. BUT, I think seeing them be selfish about their wants, needs, careers has caused her to say “wait a minute,” and now she’s speaking up for herself. I totally enjoyed her at the ranch. She’s always funny and seems to have a sweet spirit. So I wish her the best. And now those sisters are going to tread more respectfully and lightly where she’s concerned.

  • Leonie Kin

    WOW amen gurl.

  • ExtraChocolate80

Yes Tamar’s mouth is sassy and lethal. Her words cut like a knife and it is becoming a turn off the last few seasons.

  • ExtraChocolate80

Well not so fast lol, she has a lot to prove in terms of showing she has changed. Her mouth is sassy and lethal.

  • Gerome Wright

You don’t have to coddle or co-depend. She’s ABRASIVE. And I’ve been in counseling and counselors DO NOT shout, scream, yell, snap, etc. THAT IS FOR TV AND RATINGS. Yes, folks have to be held accountable and face their “stuff” but Iyanla ain’t Mount Rushmore or God. Folks think television is real. It’s like going to real court versus watching Judge Judy. My counselor was a very soft spoken person that brought out my Aha moment with a WHISPER.

  • NiCole Cole

wow out of my 28 years on earth you are only the second person to ever shed light on the importance of what we name our children and the meaning the names hold!
Most people assume because they pull a name from the bible that their child are blessed, not realizing that their is a history attached to those name which do manifest!!!!
    GREAT COMMENT!

  • Gerome Wright

    Bingo!

  • Gerome Wright

Toni filed for bankruptcy because of a clause that says you can get out of a record deal (in certain instances) if you do so. She and TLC both took that route to end their contracts with LaFace, which was screwing them out of money left and right. Even Babyface testified at her bankruptcy trial that she got a raw deal and they had to end up paying her. The second time she filed it was to keep from having to pay millions for the cancellation of her Vegas show when she got sick. I love her perseverance and the fact that she was humble enough to share her stage with her sisters and tried her best to help them make it. She had a lot of weight on her shoulders in terms of the sisters and helping her mom after the divorce. That dead beat husband didn’t help either. And to me, she’s STILL great!

  • NiCole Cole

omg i started straight bawling when Tamar did her emmy winning performance piece!

  • Cassie

Not one single tear fell from her eyes and I’m thinking she smoked a fat one which Mellowed her AZZ OUT! That was a Im chill as Fu_k moves.😵😵

  • Gerome Wright

    LOL!!

  • Gerome Wright

Tamar says Iyanla revealed her molestation to the family without her consent, which made her feel violated again because Iyanla…like the molesters…took away her right to make a choice. It was probably done off camera and PURPOSELY left off screen since Tamar is an exec producer and can call a few shots.

  • Gerome Wright

Okay, I was with you until you said Traci’s the only one “who can actually keep a man out of all the sisters” cause some of these ninjas don’t need to be kept. LOL

  • Straightshooter

I just love how everyone wants me to change my stance. Keep following the crowd Boo. I one of those people who can see beneath the service. Iyanla is a very manipulative woman

  • Nikkihatch

    Lol noooo tears

  • R C

Tamar is a horrible actress. I can’t. Where were the tears. But I confess, everything she said about herself i agreed with…
I confess, I never liked Ms. Evelyn. The whole time I’m thinking when is she going to step in and say something to Tamar until she finally did. It only took her 48hrs but good job.
I confess, I completely agree with the conversation Iyanla and Tawanda was having about Tamar and Ms. Evelyn. They were completely on point about them being two of a kind. That is why Tamar has always gotten away with it for so long. She did the mothers dirty work so mommy was pleased and daddy felt to guilty to reprimand her. It’s old, she’s old. She needs to grow up.
I confess, Traci needs to gain confidence and know she is just as worthy as her sister’s and start demanding respect.
And, I really wasnt surprised by Toni’s comment that she didn’t like her family. That was pretty obvious…

  • Kay

Totally! I was so shocked to find out she’s the second oldest after Toni, cause they respect Toni, but treat her like dirt. I really want to see her win. She’s so humble and she’s the only one who can actually keep a man out of all the sisters lol.

  • Vashti Perry

I may not matter in the grand scheme of things, but I can NOT buy another TAMAR album.

  • Vashti Perry

I’m sure there was some editing done, but for the most part, we can all see how Tamar projects her feelings on other people. Regardless of what actually happens she finds a way to project her feelings on other people and uses it for interviews.

  • DORANDLEEKOUS .

I’m sitting here confused about the same thing.

  • W T

TAMAR STUPID… point blank period….that gurl got serious problems.

  • Nikkihatch

    Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In A

Happy friday! Plz youtube india and igor..trying to win my fiance a wedding in this contest. We need views, likes and shares. Ill subscribe back as a thank you

  • QueenJaimie

Im not buying it. how did irrational ass Tamar have a whole revelation out of the blue.
Issa Script! make it make sense.

  • Natalie Baxter

Yes. I think they are still criticizing her for getting pregnant years ago. They treat her like a redheaded step child.

  • Natalie Baxter

Iyana Van Zant needed to give them a reality check. This needed to happen! The Braxtons needed an intervention! They have a lot of skeletons in their closets. Sooner or later you have to open the closet. When Toni said she doesn’t like her family, I cringed. That was a bold & hurtful revelation. I think she feels her family is an embarrassment to her. Look at what reality TV has done to this family & ask yourself if it’s worth it. They need prayer.

  • FckYourComments

I don’t believe Tamar… she’s fake and all that fake ass crying don’t mean shit! Towanda said she’s done this before 💤

  • Sassy

cuz I’m like wth… she said something about sex shaming and all that

  • Vashti Perry

Tamar just in the news, talking junk.

  • Kay

When Iyanla asked why there’s a different standard for Tracey and the others and Trina and Towanda had nothing to say. YES! These women have treated Traci like an outsider since day one.

  • Kay

    Yes! 👏🏾👏🏾

  • Kay

This is a joke, right? DMX was plain disrespectful and abusive to Iyanla AND his son and Tamar was being obnoxious and disrespectful here too. I hope you’re just trolling.

  • Kay

Nah hun, Toni was not forgotten before this show. She’s an icon and she had just done Yesterday and had that remix with Trey Songz. If anything, this show didn’t do her any favours cause fans like there being an element of mystery to our favourite singers. We don’t want to see that they’re just human and have domestic disputes etc.

  • Kay

    Tell it! 👏🏾👏🏾

  • Kay

I totally get where Toni’s coming from. Can you imagine signing with a record label and your mom and dad not speaking to you and your sisters crying? She’s had to carry the weight and guilt of that all her life, plus she is the only reason we care about the Braxtons and why they got this show in the first place. Plus, she’s really sick with lupus and heart disease and they are stressing her out.

  • Sassy

SOMEBODY HELP ME UNDERSTAND THE BEEF WITH TAMAR AND IYANLA BECAUSE IT SEEM AS IF THEY ENDED ON A GOOD NOTE…WHAT HAPPEN THAT I DIDNT SEE?

  • Kay

Thank you! If she really had a breakthrough, she wouldn’t have gone on social media and called Iyanla the devil and dogged her out on Wendy. That part at the end was hella fake. I think maybe we can see it cause we’re in the medical field and we’re trained to spot manipulation, cause most people seem to have fallen for it. She got in that car and called Vince or her African guy and they told her to play up for the cameras after how she had behaved. And she definitely has some mental illness. I would say she has borderline personality disorder. Somethings not right with her.

  • Sassy

it was like I was sitting at the table with them…literally crying with the….for show or not…the issues they have I hope they can find a new JOURNEY of HAPPINESS and mend their family in a HEALTHY way…

  • R C

    87th😋

  • Kay

I’m the youngest in my family and my family would never let me get away with this behaviour. It’s no excuse. I feel like they did Tamar a really big disservice letting her get away with this behaviour all through her childhood and now it’s in her adulthood and she can’t get along with anyone. The only friend she has in life is Tiny, who you get the sense just feels bad for her, and gay guys that are on her payroll. She’s a mess and this being the youngest excuse just doesn’t cut it when you’re 40+ years of age.

  • Kay

I really want to believe that that moment at the end was genuine for Tamar, but it looked hella fake. She probably sat in the car and called Vince or her new African man and they told her she will come off badly on the show and needs to apologise and turn on the waterworks. She just comes across as extremely ungenuine and I’m convinced she has narcissistic personality disorder.

  • Kay

Couldn’t agree more. I honestly feel like she is abusive and violent herself. She needs serious help. This family are also deranged to have let her run a muck all these years. They did a great disservice to her and themselves letting her get away with it for so long.

  • treyvor

Tamar better win an Oscar for this performance 👏🏽

  • Love Jones

I’m balling right now. This was beautiful to see. I’m proud of them all. Especially Tamar. She finally got it .

  • Jennifer Williams

She just took over in the end…and almost refused to say the phrase: I’m confessing that. she kept intentionally saying “will you forgive me.” As a professor I say…-10 for not following directions!

  • Excepcion

After watching this, I am 100% convinced and do believe Tamar and Vince were throwing bows on the daily and that Tamar is mentally unstable. Whatever reasons the led her to who she is right now I can be empathetic to but she is not right in the head and her family knows that, I think thats also why they’ve allowed her to run muck all these years. She needs intensive therapy and medication.

  • Excepcion

Whew chile. When she said to Tamar in a even tone voice “say one more word and I got you” I felt that shit and I think my ancestors did too. I also think Tamar was on the verge of a mental break if it already hasn’t happened. I agreed with Iyanlas assessment about that behavior being violent and very abusive.

  • AndWhat

LMAO yo Tamar acting the shit out of this

  • Straightshooter

IDGAF what anyone says. I love Tamar! She did that! WE cut the CHECK! THEY CAN ALL THANK TAMAR LATER!!!! #loveandwar

  • T-Aira McDonald

Damn it only took Tamar 10+years to get it smh. Glad she acknowledged her bullshit and apologized. Side Bar: all that facial surgery and that nose job she couldn’t even cry or breathe right LOL

  • AndWhat

No shes not abusive they just dont listen and can’t take hearing the truth about themselves. She is trying to get to the bottom of your pain. And yet while she is chasting your sisters all you hear is her talking about your pain and negative but yall don’t discuss it and thats your problem

  • Domi Nache’

Tamar rocks.. had the best breakthrough in that family counseling.. I knew it was in her.. Thats why I was always team tamar..

  • Rosalind Tatum

I am sitting here crying because I love the Braxton’s and yes what Black
America goes through in our family life’s we share the same backgrounds
with hurt and pain. Thank you for sharing yall stories with us. My
family has been in pain like this for years. What a wonderful scene for
us all to see. Except my parents have been married for over 50 years. So
I am lucky and hopeful that one day we will all heal and continue to love each
    other.

  • Aleggra Penn

This is why I love Iyanla! She combats the spirits people have in them not just what they show on the surface and that spirit in Tamar was fighting child and unwilling to allow her to receive the help from her.

  • Tramaine Menard

I don’t know why I chose to watch this at work!!! Got me crying this hard!!

  • G_Amsterdambuhd

Huh! She did pop shit RIGHT after this tear jerker.. WTF, was this acting… I felt it was real… but I kept looking for tears – i think i spotted only one maybe all that bouncing in the chair dried them up before i could see em. not sure..hopefuly this was heartfelt and she make steps towards being better.

  • Tru2ThisNotNu2thisBih

    LOL! IKR?!

  • G_Amsterdambuhd

LOL, i loved how straight toni face was ‘ as much i love ya’ll, i don’t like ya’ll, ALL of ya’ll…like if weren’t family we woudln’t be freinds, ALL OF YA’LL… she kept emphasizing nobody was exempt’- Face straight like a judge with them damn glasses on, I was like … keep it real, keep it raw and heal, beloved.

  • Domi Nache’

Lol.. I freaking love Tamar.. her family spoiled her rotten.. however.. she will always be the one that people try to come for cause she will always stand her ground in how she feel.. i completely understand it.. look.. everyone quiet.. knowing damn well they wanna say something.. but like me and Tamar.. we will always say something.. anf they try to put titles like behaviors problems or attitude problems.. when that not the case.. we simply say how we feel in that moment no matter what.. thats why she uses facial expressions when she trying stay quiet.. i completely understand Tamar…lol

  • G_Amsterdambuhd

So proud of Tamar, quite honestly. I’m sure she’ll slip back in her old self. It’s easy to go back to the comfortable space, but as long as she tries. That’s all anyone can ask of her. All that heavy breathin’, with the whisper teary voice, and bouncing up n down in the chair, I thought she was gonna break all the way down. I felt for her. Well, Braxton’s – work on your values. We all have to. It’s not a celeb thing or a tv thing, it’s a HUMAN THING.. we all gotta work to be a better us for not only ourselves but others. This was a good episode and my last episode, beloved.

  • Alyka Morgan

    Beautiful

  • 1Love404

This episode was raw! (shoutout to Towanda’s outfit on the last day, gorg!)
The funniest moment for me was Toni listing out all the things she wished she coulda done with her career, Iyanla- “why can’t you do them now?”, Toni- (pause) “cuz I’m an old b#@$” LOOOOOOOOOOOL laid out!!

So GLAD she helped Trina and Towanda see their double standards with Traci, as younger sisters they haven’t any respect for her up until that very moment smh. #teamTraci

  • Devan Simmons

Why she pull Trina’s lashes off like that lmaooooo

  • Camden

    Wow…

  • Daniel Asare Jr

Whew. So. For 5 whole seasons, I’ve been Team Tamar. I thought I understood her, I defended her attitude and outbursts because I thought I could relate.

All that went out the window after watching this. I literally watched a 40 year old woman be as disrespectful and throw a tantrum as if she were 14 years old. I’m at an age where it’s now hard for me to stan an artist or listen to their music if their character is shit (see Nicki Minaj). I feel like I now have to put Tamar on that list. Her behavior and demeanor was absolutely unbecoming of not only an adult woman, but A MOTHER. I just want to apologize to the sisters, as a devoted viewer and fan, that I dismissed what they have been saying about her all these years. I see it clear as day. Damn, she really isn’t a good person, despite what hurt she’s been thru.

  • Straightshooter

Uhm… Yeah because those two didn’t sit like puppies while Iyanla used terms such as gutter snipe. Hell, I don’t even know what that is but it’s certainly not a compliment. It’s a personal attack.

  • Straightshooter

So because she calls it a different name, it’s not abuse. OK…

  • 1Love404

Girl you betta preach!! This is actually why Africans take the naming a child process very seriously, sometimes even having naming ceremonies. Even if the names are hard to pronounce, they are used to dictate what attributes you want assigned to your child.

  • DaQueen19

IM NOT CRYING, YOU’RE CRYING!!!!! Geez!!! Had me snot nosed over here like i was at the table too.

  • JonDi Design

Whether we saw it or not, Tamar made her own business public when she decided to share with Wendell aka Wendy Williams. Iyanla did not run tell anything!! Tamar is absolutely mental.

  • She (Tamar) pretended to be a hooker in order to get pregnant by her father in law.

She’d married 2 of her FIL’s sons and they both died, so he didn’t want to hold up his end of the bargain/custom at the time and provide Tamar another husband so she could have a son/heir.

  • mocha brown

    Very well said💖

  • Paizley

Yaaaas Thas what I needed to hear from Tamar today! Maturity!

  • Camden

    I didn’t know that.
    You are teaching now.
Tell us more about the story of Tamar..

  • Camden

    lol! Okay!
    Dmx & Tamar= Dysfunction!!

  • Maven

Sadly, Tamar has some serious demons that need to be dealt with. Although I believe the true Tamar came out in the end, the earlier behaviour prolonged her personal sufferings. Its understandable that Tamar gets special treatment- she’s the baby. It may not be appreciated but we have to admit that it happens a lot in families. The problem with this family is that both the eldest in the youngest children are the stars of the family. So the rest of the family is trapped in the middle while the two of them are allowed to force their will on them.

It’s sad to see tormented people like Tamar. It was obvious that she was not hearing clearly. She was hearing things that were not there. I’m usually not a fan of iyanla. I don’t like her methods or her approach. But lately she’s been doing a very good job of allowing people to expose themselves. This was a good show and the realest I believe the Braxtons have ever even been to themselves. They said in the first episode that they we’re not used to being honest with one another. Well they were very honest in this episode and I’m happy for it.

I also just love how Trina and Towanda got to see how their double standard was affecting Tracy. Go Tracy! This show showed us how even when we don’t like circumstances we may often defend it. Trina, to Towanda, Tracy and the rest of the family hate the imbalance but they support it and they defended amongst one another.

  • NovacaneLibra

    This was very good.
I totally understand Toni not liking her family, I too am dealing with the same
I’m still not convinced about Tamar.. didn’t seem genuine to me.
    I’m rooting for Traci.
I just want to do Trina’s hair
I wished they would have ended with a song.

  • Tai

I can’t actually believe what I’m watching right now..Tamar is being out of line and no one is saying a thing it’s as if they are all scared of her.

  • Tina

Now this is true real love heartfelt cries speaking the truth and when God is involved all things are possible and I am so proud of every last one of them even the parents. And I’m very proud of the fact that Tracy was validated of how she felt and how she was treated .

  • Lisa King

Everything on here are opinions. How can you think my comments are facts anything other than that

  • JonDi Design

DMX and Tamar , you see who you just named right?

  • Mademoiselle Goldie✨

    Yeah exactly it’s really unfair

  • Mademoiselle Goldie✨

    Yeah girl check it out

  • Gigi

Saying “my opinion” clarifies better. Can respect that.

  • Lisa King

I’m not stopping. She was forgotten my opinion

  • BranNuDu

If Tamar had this much of a breakthru then WHY did she dog Iyanla out on the Wendy Williams show??? I’m sorry yall but THERE IS NO FOOTAGE OF IYANLA SHAMING TAMAR ABOUT BEING SEXUALLY MOLESTED!!!!!! That shit didn’t happen! PERIOD! Tamar is fucking crazy. And I’m not saying this to be funny but Tamar has a FEW mental illnesses. I’ve been in the medical filed since I go out of high school and I have have almost doubled that age (I will not reveal my age lol) and Tamar is a CLEAR SIGN that a a few mental illnesses are present. This is not to bash her but this is the truth. You cannot turn a blind eye to things like this.

  • Gigi

Wow…didn’t know that was biblical and yes I agree with you.

  • Koko Dizzle

She wasn’t necessarily forgotten she was still doing shows and touring around the world… it just brought her back into the limelight but not focusing on her music just her personal life because of her being on reality TV

  • Gigi

Iyanla is not abusive. She doesnt sugar coat nor coddle nor co-depends. She is handling things as a professional does. People who are narcissist always get bent out of shape when people dont uphold their mess and hold them accountable. If you not ready to see the truth you are not ready to be healed.

  • Grace Turner

I feel Toni, you love your family and everything. But if you could move a few people in around your life, like furniture, a few of them would be put out on the curb!

  • Baybeetricia

When Iyanla said they violate each other’s boundaries I said “Yes, Amen, Hallelu!!!!! I have been saying that for the past 4 seasons now and it’s about damn time someone told me about it!

  • Gigi

Toni was never forgotten please stop.

  • Sexygrandma65

Me too! I actually clapped at that statement because it was soooo true! The rest of the family are definitely held to different standards than Toni and Tamar.

  • Mademoiselle Goldie✨

Agreed with everything you said! Fully fully

  • Mademoiselle Goldie✨

Hmmm maybe so, but still that last scene was real what more could have happened after that? 🤦🏽‍♀️

  • Sexygrandma65

Yeah, I don’t think we saw the full depth of their counseling in it’s entirety. It was most likely edited which would explain why Tamar felt some kind of a way about it, but from what we all saw, it looked like there was a resolution.

  • Sexygrandma65

My sentiments exactly!!!! I think Tamar just doesn’t like to face herself and/or be told the truth! I really hope and pray that she has seen the light and will honestly try and be a better person. I think Iyanla is just what the family needed. They have been to several other people for counseling and, in my opinion, this is by FAR the best and most comprehensive counseling they have received to date (that we have seen). I feel like they had a breakthrough.

  • Baybeetricia

Because of the part that wasn’t aired. We’re never gonna see it, unless they come out with an unedited version which, sadly, they’re not

  • Lisa King

The show has also helped toni also because she was forgotten before the show. I understand she had a bad contract etc but i do believe that she isn’t where she should be primarily because of herself. She wasn’t putting up albums because after filing bankruptcy twice and being off the scene for years no one was interested in her anymore. Now i don’t know how much of that has to do with her sisters

  • Baybeetricia

It’s the things they edited out….

  • Baybeetricia

Thank you so much for the upload!!

  • Koko Dizzle

Toni had a fucked up contract laface records have their artists bad deals so that was the reason for her bankruptcy… Mint condition are one of the bands that prioneered new jack swing era… and they were known just in the urban scene… I feel like her family held her back that she gave up after the success of her third album.. when she means soared I think she means she would have been like Madonna who came out in the 80s and still puts out music that’s sells a crazy amount of records still able to sell it arenas and doesn’t have to been seen to be relevant… her family put a downer on her success making it seem like it was a bad thing instead of a good thing.. let’s not forget they only got this show because of Toni she didn’t want to do it but the network said if she wasn’t apart of it then they won’t do the show… Tamar begged her to do it and so she did to help put her sisters on… Toni has always had to do stuff to help her sisters.. these are grown women that should go and make a name for themselves… look at solange and Beyoncé… solange created a lane for herself and now look at her

  • Lisa King

I don’t know why she blames her family for not soaring in her career. At the height of her career toni filed for bankruptcy and that was the beginning of the end. Then she married some guy no one knows from some band and it went down hill. I don’t know how much of that had to do with her sisters. I think toni didn’t know how great she was

  • Stephen Jesse Ford

Wow that was not what I expected. This was a great episode. Talk about a tear. Got my little black ass crying. I think they all need a little more counseling after this though. Especially Tamar. She got a lot on her soul. Our community need to really try it. I hate the fact they black people don’t do counseling just go to church. There is nothing Jesus can’t fix as my GMA says, but sometimes you need a little extra help.

  • Straightshooter

I love Tracy so much right now.

  • Koko Dizzle

Toni Braxton is and will forever be an icon she is a living legend and achieved so much success and will forever be relevant… I just feel like she never got to enjoy her success because of her family… carrying the burden and feeling guilty because she got signed and her sisters didn’t…

  • Lisa King

    Lol

  • Mademoiselle Goldie✨

I’m still trying to figure why Tamar had anything bad to say about Iyanla after this.. it ended so well, and probably the best rawest heartfelt therapy they’ve ever been through together as a family.

  • Straightshooter

I agree with Tamar. Iyanla is very abusive to a lot of people. DMX wasn’t having it and neither is Tamar! When you see the one method isn’t working, you try another.

  • Ttrini

Seriously did they just not air the whole Sexual abuse of Tamar? And unmm yea why after that last scene was Tamar so nasty about Iyanla on Wendy?

  • Mademoiselle Goldie✨

When Iyanla asked about the standards being different for Traci, all I could hear were crickets. That was a qu.e.stiooonnn.

  • Mademoiselle Goldie✨

Names are powerful and I believe they can have some sort of impact in an individual’s life. A lady called Tamar in the bible was violated and disrespected and ashamed, her story was devastating, and I personally think that we should think about names we give our children, I know it might sound far fetch, but as much as the name Tamar is lovely, it has quite a dark origin and I believe there are spiritual attachments to names.

  • Jae

I cried at the confessions. It was heartfelt, but what I don’t understand, is why Tamar was bashing Iyanla on The Wendy Williams show/on her IG about discussing her abuse. I understand if it wasn’t aired, but why the change of heart after this beautiful moment

  • Scarlette

I’m convinced that something is seriously mentally wrong with Tamar.. She has a mental illness that I can’t quite determine 😕

  • Martina

After watching this I believe that Tamar is learning to listen instead of trying to talk all the time. I did not feel that Iyanla was disrespecting her at all because Tamar has been rolling her neck and eyes and turning her head all kinds of ways ay Iyanla and never admitting her part to anything until that confessional. It was time for her to pour her heart out. Hopefully now the sisters know why she is hurting. I believe there is more to it and maybe they can work that out off camera. It is like a typical black family where people don’t want to tell the truth because they are afraid to hurt someone or they will take it the wrong way. It affects everyone involved and getting everything out helps so much. My family needs this too. They just get their feeling hurt and explode just like what happens on here. Maybe we need Iyanla?

  • Mama

Didn’t she though! Reminds me of my mom, “I don’t care how grown you THINK you are…” LOL

  • Mama

For all the Ms. E bashers it was clearly brought out that Daddy was not all he is cracked up to be. HE’s the reason none of them selected suitable mates. I don’t know if Tamar was sincere or not but I hope she was. And I totally felt Toni’s weight of having to be the surrogate mom, bread winner, etc. for her family.

  • Jae

LOL I love how Ms E can still discipline these grown women. Wowzer

  • Erica Greene

I seriously wonder if Tamar goes back and watches this stuff, so she can see how wild she looks/sounds. I mean seriously. Seriously praying that the whole family experiences some serious healing. Like in my head, she is so bold. I couldn’t imagine acting like that in front of my mother. She’d knock the HELL out of me. Grown and all. Tamar lacks reverence for her elders. Period. You can NOT agree with someone, but you cannot act as if you don’t have any sense. Sorry, not sorry.

  • eutoye

Tamar needs to cut all that attitude out. She needs to grow up.

  • Jae

    I can’t wait…….!
